People Masking Technology
Federal Data Protection Act
The purpose of this Act is to protect the individual against his/her right to privacy being impaired through the handling of his/her personal data. “Personal data” means any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual (the data subject).
Panasonic are committed to abiding by this act through our new People masking technology
When considering the installation of a security system, it is assumed that privacy for those in contact with the system will be dramatically reduced. Panasonic's People masking technology has been designed to ensure that your security system remains both legally compliant by protecting employee and customer identity, and also secure. This privacy protection solution can also be deactivated when reviewing footage of any incident that may have occurred, providing a flexible, ethical and effective solution for privacy within a security system.
How does it work?
Panasonic's people masking technology uses an MOR (Moving Object Removal) function to mask moving objects and to also conceal static areas that you feel should remain confidential. The MOR function can also be removed and masked areas changed at your leisure to ensure an adaptable and easy to use system. People masking also allows the creation of different user roles e.g. normal users and administrator, where an administrator will be able to see unmasked images.
This technology is suitable for use in a variety of environments such as retail, logistics, banking, and much more. Installation of this technology is possible in both new and pre-existing security systems to ensure that you are able to operate a flexible and compliant system.
